BELIZE - Prisoners Without Shoes Project - 2010

P
RISONERS WITHOUT SHOES

We are STILL COLLECTING Men's Tennis Shoes sizes 7-12...

Five years ago a few individuals who had been teaching WBS Bible studies to inmates at the Belize Central America Prison organized the first “Prisoners Without Shoes” mission. Because of the great need, 1100 tennis shoes were collected and shipped to Belize. A team of volunteers went to the prison each day for 5 days to place shoes on the feet of every prisoner and to speak to them about Jesus in a
personal way. Fifty souls obeyed the gospel during that short period of time.

Today there are more than 1500 inmates at the Belize Prison and the need for shoes is as great as it was before. The opportunity to speak to the lost and broken about Jesus is even greater. The soil is fertile. It is time to sow the gospel seed.

We need help from your congregation.
Can you contribute 100-500 pairs of new or only slightly used men’s tennis shoes for the prisoners in Belize?

Would someone in your congregation be willing to go as part of the mission team to place shoes and to speak to inmates about Jesus?
